If you have questions about protected trees, city-owned trees, or permits in Glendale, the Forestry Section can help.
The Forestry Section is part of the Public Works – Maintenance Services Division and is responsible for the care of Glendale’s urban forest and the protection of native trees under the City’s Protected Trees Program.
Contact the Forestry Section
Residents, property owners, contractors, and developers can contact the Forestry Section to:
- Report damaged or hazardous trees
- Request inspection or maintenance of a city-owned tree
- Ask questions about protected trees
- Confirm whether a tree may be protected
- Ask general questions about tree care or City tree programs
If you notice a tree that appears damaged, hazardous, or in need of maintenance, call (818) 548-3950 to request an inspection.
Questions About Tree Permits?
If you are planning to prune, remove, or perform construction near a protected tree, a permit may be required before work can begin.
